He’s Already There

This evening as I begin to write this post I wonder will this blog work and where will it help take me and others on our spiritual journey together.  He’s Already There is a great new song by one of my FAV Christian bands, Casting Crowns.  I love this band because the are real and transparent and sing about real issues that some of us would rather deny are even happening.  Well the truth is I don’t know where this blog is going to be taking me but God does because He’s already there.  I can’t wait to get to know people as I share my spiritual journeys and I hope you all will share some too.

So why did I decide to start a blog?

I decided it was time to get real with God and be accountable to Him and others for my time.  I don’t spend enough Still Moments with God.  So I thought doing this blog would help me and others that don’t have a flexible schedule or time to meet in small groups come together!  I am working when it seems most of my friends are not and I just always seem to be missing out on fellowship because of my family, work and the fact that most people don’t stay up til midnight and I do.  I want this to be a blog where people  connect to share truths and thoughts about God’s word and pray for each other and help us all to stay accountable to spend more time with God. For those of you who are joining from GAC we are studying 1Corthians along with Dr. Paul Little who is leading us through with some challenging sermons.  My posts will be my personal reflections and my ‘take home work’.  I say ‘take home work’ because that’s what really counts after hearing a sermon…what did you decide to ‘take home’.  Most of us leave the altar and go to the door forgetting our ‘take home work’ on your seat.  I do this more often than I’d like to admit so this is a new way for me to stay accountable as to not forgetting my ‘take home work’.  I hope you enjoy my thoughts and PLEASE share some of yours!
