We are His, We are HIS!

Passage: Psalm 100

His Steadfast Love Endures Forever

A Psalm for giving thanks.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! 2     Serve the Lord with gladness!     Come into his presence with singing!

3 Know that  the Lord, he is God!     It is he who  made us, and  we are his; we are his  people, and  the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,     and his  courts with praise!     Give thanks to him;  bless his name!

5 For the Lord is good;     his steadfast love endures forever,     and his  faithfulness to all generations.

Hello ‘In the Clay’ friends!  We are about to start yet another amazing weekend.  Once the weekend starts we all get so busy.  But I hope we can all share things we have enjoyed reading about this past week with our friends through some great conversations.

We are having a celebration Sunday at our Church this week.  I am going to miss it 🙁  But that’s the reason for a break from 1 Corinthians to a Psalm about giving thanks.

These past few weeks I am struggling to find my way with some new business ideas I have had for a while as well as a part of my current business that has to end.  So as a new season ends for me yet another begins.  The seed is dead and has been planted, just not sure what it’s going to grow up to be yet!

This is a tough stage to be in.  The breaking down and re-growing is out of my control and since I like to control my life it’s yet another reality check….it’s really not my life to control.  This is a hard fact that I have had to accept time and time again.  The good thing is I accept it, just after a few tears and anxiety attacks!

I am reading this book (still) called Grace Based Parenting and there is an awesome part in the book where it talks about how that taking control of your life is like trying to play the role of God.  That’s scary so I don’t want to go there but I am scared even though I am sure I am doing His will even though I am not sure what that looks like right now. Confusing?  I know, I am also confused.

So for me this week the verse that has stood out in my mind was verse 3.

Know that  the Lord, he is God!     It is he who  made us, and  we are hiswe are his  people, and  the sheep of his pasture. Psalm 100:3

I took great comfort in knowing that the Lord, he is GOD, and I am HIS, I am HIS!  I have been saying it all week, I am Yours God so help me!  Since I am Yours guide me, answer me, use me!  I know that God won’t let me done as he also says in verse 5,

For the Lord is good;  his steadfast love endures forever, and his  faithfulness to all generations.  Psalm 100:5

Whatever you problem is this week or maybe it’s not your problem but maybe you will get talking to  friend over the weekend who has this problem but in any case please let this encourage you.  We are HIS and the LORD is good and his steadfast love endures forever.  If we put that on a ‘post it’ on our mirrors so we could read it before starting our day it may not only encourage us about the way we look in the morning 😉  but it will be something easy to remember that is actually true, and a promise from GOD.  In a world that is full of lies starting your day off with a true promise from God can be helpful.

Where ever you are, who ever you are, enjoy the weekend.  Thanks for all the lovely comments last week.  I enjoy reading them and I get so excited when I am part of a two-way conversation, so please continue to leave comments!

In the clay,

Chantal Dube
